Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This covers the Anchor waitlist page only. If you have not typed your email into it, we hold nothing about you at all.

What we collect

Your email address, and whether you are on iOS or Android. Those two things are all the form asks for and all we keep. We do not ask for your name, we do not run analytics, and the page sets no cookies.

The page loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page opens. We are moving the font onto our own server to stop that.

Why we collect it

To send you one email on the day Anchor is released. Knowing which phone you use means we tell you when your version is ready, rather than about one you cannot install. That is the entire purpose. No newsletter, no tips, no offers, and we will never sell or share your address with anyone for marketing.

Where it is stored

With Kit (Kirby Enterprises, Inc.), an email service based in the United States, which stores the list on our behalf. Their handling of it is covered by Kit's privacy policy. Because they are in the US, your address leaves your own country when you sign up.

How long we keep it

Until Anchor launches and the announcement has gone out, and no more than twelve months after that. If the app never ships, we delete the list rather than keep it.

Getting yourself removed

Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write to us at the address below at any point, before or after launch, and ask to be deleted. We will remove you and confirm it. You do not need to give a reason, and leaving is meant to be as easy as joining was.

Children

Anchor is built for adults and the waitlist is not aimed at children. If you are under 16, please do not sign up.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly start doing something different with your address.
